Event by Flamenco de Leeds
The trio offers a conceptual music experience blending traditional flamenco with elements of jazz. They aim to evoke different emotional states through various flamenco styles during their performances. José Almarcha describes flamenco as culturally rich, blending Romani, Moorish, and Sephardic Jewish roots, among other influences, reflecting the diversity of peoples in Spain.
José Almarcha, a virtuoso flamenco guitarist and composer from Ciudad Real, Spain, studied at the Córdoba Conservatory of Music and with flamenco masters like Paco Serrano and Niño de Pura.
José Almarcha trio is a conceptual music experience for your senses. Let yourself be carried away for an hour and a half of wonderful music by this trio of percussion, dance and flamenco guitar where through the different flamenco styles, they will make you feel different emotional states during the concert. Flamenco music in its purest form, direct to the emotions and feelings.
During this exciting concert, we will go through overwhelming moments with a completely naked and overwhelming guitar, the percussion will appear to provide energy, strength and rhythmic vitality to the concert and with the dance a visual colour is provided to the sensations that will not leave you indifferent, without a doubt the combination of these three pillars of flamenco will be an exceptional experience.
