 bourne Cup-winning racehorse\, media puzzle is the solo recording project 
 of Lismore-based artist and musician Tom Peter.\n\nOver the past three yea
 rs\, media puzzle has released three scuzzy post-punk albums and two blist
 eringly short\, high-energy EPs. Residing somewhere between Suicide's dark
  minimalism and Uranium Club's eccentric edge\, the project's last two rel
 eases earned an exclusive vinyl feature at Rough Trade and a strong 8.0 ra
 ting from Pitchfork\, which praised the project for its "DIY batter of pos
 t-punk and no-wave idiosyncrasies".\n\nHaving carved out a space between d
 rum machine-driven synth-punk and fuzzy scuzz-pop\, the newest record mark
 s a departure from previous efforts and hints at a maturing sound.\n\nAfte
 r a year of DIY recording and touring\, media puzzle returns with a fourth
  (and still somewhat speedy) album\, New Racehorse. Moving beyond the drum
  machine-heavy egg-punk approach of earlier releases\, this record is thei
