DESCRIPTION:🌳🌟 COMMON PRESENTS: a community folk procession reimagini
 ng our relationship to urban green space. Featuring work from performance 
 artists (to be announced 🤫)\, we invite you to take part in the art of 
 modern myth-making. All welcome! Dressing up encouraged! Please bring alon
 g scrap pieces of fabric to weave into a communally made tapestry! 🌟
 🌳\n\nOn Saturday 26th September come and join us to parade through the 
 woods\, celebrating our environment and expressing our right to roam. What
  to expect: \n\n- You will be treated to 4 performances from local artists
  along the journey.\n- You will be invited to participate in reciting a fo
 lk poem exploring ideas of land ownership and the importance of our green 
 spaces. \n- You will be invited to bring along scrap pieces of fabric to b
 e weaved into a communally made tapestry to be part of an exhibition later
  in the year. \n- The event will be filmed and later turned into a video a
 rtwork to be part of an exhibition later in the year. \n- The procession w
 ill take place twice across the day at 12:15pm and 2:15pm\, beginning from
  the Queenswood Drive entrance to Batcliffe Woods. \n- The procession is a
 nticipated to last no longer than 45 minutes.\n\nThe location has limited 
 capacity so to avoid disappointment please reserve a free ticket for your 
 chosen time slot. \n\nThis project is part of the Seasons of Culture Progr
 amme funded by West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Leeds City Council th
 rough the Leeds Cultural Investment Programme.\n\nAccessibility Info:\n\n-
  The ground of Batcliffe Woods consists of uneven dirt paths\, due to ston
 es\, sticks and leaves. The width of these paths vary but are deemed Wheel
 chair Accessible by the council.\n\n- The beginning of the procession rout
 e will be an upward slope that becomes gradually flatter as you enter the 
 woods. The procession will be slow moving\, with walking taking place for 
 roughly 15 minutes alongside periods of standing for up to 5 minutes for p
 erformances.\n\n- There are two benches at the beginning of the procession
  route\, one with a backrest and one without. There is one bench at the en
 d of the route without a backrest.\n\n- The lyrics to the folk poem will b
 e handed out. There will be some large print versions on offer. We are cur
 rently in process of trying to secure a BSL interpreter for the event and 
 will update this info accordingly if we have managed to have someone avail
 able.\n\n- If you need anything during the procession please speak to one 
 of the volunteer stewards. They will be clearly identified to you on the d
 ay of the event.\n\n- Updates about weather and other information will be
